Baisakhi is an important festival in Punjab. A day to spread love, joy and peace, people of Amritsar unite at the Jallianwala Bagh to protest against the Rowlatt Act. However, the walls of the monument get bloodstained when General Reginald Dyer arrives with his army to shoot down lakhs of innocents. Simultaneously, C Sankaran Nair, an eminent advocate from Kerala, wins a case in favour of the Crown against a Sikh revolutionary. He is rewarded with the title ‘Sir’ for his contribution and is also made a part of the Viceroy’s Council. His perception about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre changes when the Sikh revolutionary’s son makes him understand the magnitude of the torture endured by the innocent people who were killed recklessly. Dilreet Kaur, a rookie lawyer, motivates him to fight the case for justice. With her support, he enters the courtroom to battle it out against Neville McKinley
